Field Day operations begin Saturday at 18:00 UTC (2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time).
Operations run for 24 or 27 hours depending on setup and start time under the Field Day rules.

Field Day is an opportunity for MARC members to operate together, try different stations and antennas, and share amateur radio with visitors.
It's also a great opportunity to meet other local amateur radio operators and learn more about operating outside of the normal home station.
What is Field Day?
ARRL Field Day is an annual amateur radio event that brings radio operators together throughout the United States and Canada.
During Field Day, amateur radio clubs and individual operators set up stations and make contacts with other Field Day stations. The event combines on-the-air operating with emergency preparedness, technical skills, experimentation, community outreach and the social side of amateur radio.
For MARC, Field Day is also an opportunity for club members and visitors to spend time together, operate radio and share the amateur radio hobby with the Michiana community.
